Tuned PHP
What is Tuned PHP? Is it a library? Or yet another framework of never ending frameworks?
Yes and no.
Popular frameworks these days are great and have their benefits – but they also have drawbacks. Some of them are very obtuse, brittle, plagued with incompatibilities, filled with tons of “who knows what’s inside” dependencies and vulnerabilities, overcomplicated, over-engineered, esoteric and have become an OOP Spaghetti Sandwich. It is great when you’ve mastered them but climbing that never-ending learning curve and version updates that break things every 6 months absolutely kills stability, kills progress, kills productivity and “kills the spirit of the code.”
Tuned PHP:
Back to Basics with Modern Touches
Let’s talk car analogies. Today’s sports cars are great. They are fast and reliable…but when you go to pop the hood…
Not easy to work on. Expensive. Requires proprietary special equipment to work on. Glitchy software. Chip Shortage. "Right to Repair..."
Yet, you can have something that’s fast and easy to work on, relatively affordable, doesn’t require proprietary special equipment, isn’t heavily reliant on glitchy software and required updates that may break things leaving you stranded; you can have something that brings the best of the old school “tried and trued” while adding modern techniques and technologies in a smart and optimized way… and be just as fast and as beautiful…

For Coders, Users and Businesses with a Passion for Performance!
PHP gets a bad rap for being “ugly, horrible, inconsistent and loose.” But there is beauty and value in that. With good design practices, elegant coding and good examples, PHP development can be very flexible, modular and fast. Tuned PHP gathered lots of code and best-practices over the years along with it's own, looking for the most non-convoluted and efficient ways to get things done. And by no means is Tuned PHP perfect - development is a never-ending process!
Tuned PHP is and is not a framework or library in the traditional sense. It was designed to be highly intuitive, modular, lightweight, look good, have blazing performance, be rapidly deployable with grab-and-go modular code that junior (and Jack/Jill of all trades) developers can grasp and use. It does not use any proprietary compilers, it is not bloated with tons of dependencies, it does not lock you in to proprietary systems and it lets you deploy to cost-efficient webhostsing/databases with bare-minimum hosting plans which you have direct management over or even on your own in-house servers! No longer are you beholden to expensive pay-go's, subscriptions and sales fees.
TunedPHP creates standardized “ready-to-go modularization” but still allows (shade-tree) developers great flexibility and freedom in tweaking the code per requirements without having to learn esoteric syntax and adhere to proprietary framework methodologies that can be very steep or break with every new version.
TunedPHP fills a solution gap that many frameworks and CMS have left wide open. It gives developers and clients less headaches than things like WordPress, React, Angular, Shopify and Magento do, simplifying the code and development process, giving you more control over the code and the ability to see the code instead of just blindly accepting whatever comes in those packages. Knowing your code is crucial in detecting and preventing security vulnerabilities and exploits.
Tuned PHP:
Jr Developer Friendly
If you are just starting out, learning full stack web development isn’t easy, especially with so many popular libraries and frameworks like Angular, React, Vue, Svelte, Node, Laravel, CodeIgniter… Tuned PHP is a great way to “get your hands dirty” and see the nuts and bolts of how these things work under the hood – which will be beneficial if and when you run into other frameworks out there. Seeing the nuts and bolts of how things work will provide insight into other popular libraries and frameworks, how they work and why they were developed in such way.
